Professor Judith Lamie is Managing Director of JL Education Consultants Ltd (JLEC). Judith a highly experienced educationalist having worked in the education sector for over 30 years. During this time she held executive positions, such as Deputy Vice-Chancellor International and Pro-Vice-Chancellor External Affairs, providing institutional leadership in marketing and student recruitment, business engagement, vocational training and apprenticeships, online learning, pathway provision and international development. She has been responsible for running offices and campuses both in the United Kingdom and overseas and is an experienced leader, manager, consultant and non-executive director. She is a professional mentor and is also currently Chair of Navitas Board of Directors.
JLEC provides interim management solutions, project planning and delivery, workshops, coaching, mentoring and training sessions across a range of academic and professional areas.
Specialist skills and knowledge include: strategic leadership, governance and risk management; student recruitment and marketing; international strategy production and implementation; partnership development; trans-national education: corporate engagement, work-based learning and apprenticeships; development and alumni relations; and the management of change.
Judith’s academic background, as a Professor of Advanced Language Study, with a specialism in change management, means she is well placed to assist businesses and institutions in making change happen. She is involved in educational policy development at the highest level and has in-depth knowledge of the education landscape. Judith is a Fellow of the HEA and has authored books and articles in applied linguistics, change management and international education.
