Will is the mentoring coordinator for the Network of Educational Enhancement Consultants (NEEC), founded by Karen Heard-Lauréote and Clare Kell. In this role he has supported academic and professional services staff up to Pro Vice Chancellor level.
He has worked in a variety of faculty, board, university committee and external examiner roles at the University of Southampton, the University of Chichester, Arts University Bournemouth and the University of Wolverhampton, as well as academic journals and subject associations (including the Executive Committee of the British Association for Film, Television and Screen Studies).
Will’s experience and interests enable him to support academic, executive and partner consultancy teams in various areas of HEI practice:
- interdisciplinarity (embedding interdisciplinary practice into research and teaching culture)
- peer support initiatives (mentoring, community groups)
- knowledge exchange and enterprise value
- marketing (communicating academic value beyond HEIs)
- finance (funding and legacies – Will is a member of the Institute for Legacy Management)
