Ceri is a social mobility specialist. She has extensive experience in widening participation and access, recruitment and admissions, policy development, public engagement (including civic relations), volunteering and impact evaluation.
Ceri can support the development and implementation of recruitment, outreach, admissions and access strategies. She has led stakeholder consultations, organisational structure reviews, conducted research into best practice, led evaluation and impact studies and policy reviews.
Ceri has worked at a senior level in higher education for more than 25 years, with a focus on outreach, social mobility, civic engagement and access. For the last six years, leading Nursaw Associates, her clients have included to date the Office for Students, the Sutton Trust, Health Education England, Medical Schools Council and various universities (including Oxford, City, UCL, York St John and Warwick).
Ceri’s work is recognised and respected nationally and she has strong working relationships with policy makers within higher education, Government and other influential bodies. Her knowledge and skills have been recognised nationally. For example, she chaired the Russell Group’s Widening Participation Advisory Committee, was a member of the HEFCE’s Strategic Advisory Committee for Enterprise and Skills and provided policy advice to the Departments for Education and Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
