I am an experienced, multi-disciplinary Higher Education leader with particular specialisms in Marketing & Communications and Strategic Planning. I’ll come back to that in a moment, but in many ways it is my career prior to HE that is my differentiator. I spent 10 years working in high performance sport at UK Sport and British Cycling which gave me first-hand insight into the elite level performance management approach which has underpinned Britain’s success in recent Olympic and Paralympic Games.
I have taken the core principles of this – clarity of purpose (setting clear goals), data and insights led (informed decision making) and continuous improvement (alignment and effectiveness of resources, systems and process) – and successfully translated them into HE to deliver strategic direction, performance improvements and commercial growth over the past 11 years.
I can add value as a pragmatic, collaborative and solutions-focused leader, adept at building positive and constructive relations with colleagues and external stakeholders. Things I have achieved and can do for you either as interim cover or on a project basis include:
