Dr Vicky Lewis is an independent consultant specialising in international strategy development and implementation planning.
She works with higher education providers (and other organisations with an educational emphasis) in the UK and overseas. Since founding Vicky Lewis Consulting in 2013, she has completed over 70 projects for more than 40 institutions at different stages in their internationalisation journey.
Assignments have ranged from the broad (formulating and gaining buy-in for institutional internationalisation strategy) to the specific (recommendations for building reputation in a key market; advice on optimising organisational infrastructure for international student recruitment; production of an international campus marketing plan).
Vicky draws on 20 years’ experience within UK universities (13 at Senior Management Team level), including Director of International Relations and Director of Marketing roles.
She holds a DBA in Higher Education Management from University of Bath. Her thesis explored different approaches to internationalisation across UK HE. Subsequent research has investigated institutional strategies for global engagement and approaches to transnational education.
Vicky blogs on international higher education topics and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences. She is a member of the European Association for International Education’s thematic committee on Leadership, Strategy and Policy.
